Before you visit
No oil is required before your appointment. We can usually clear wax without it. Oil may help if you regularly get a build-up, but it isn’t mandatory.
If the wax can’t be cleared at your first visit, your clinician will advise you about oil and arrange a free follow-up appointment.
Wax removal usually takes around 15–20 minutes. Your audiologist will take the time needed to assess your ears and explain your care.
